Open-Ended Studio Final

All semester long, students researched biological relationships, the natural environment, and the engineering of nature. The studio itself was focused on researching Biomimicry and how that can impact the design world, but students were allowed to research anything that interested them about nature. I along with two partners, focused on a research timeline that proves "WE ARE NATURE." We researched about indigenous cultures, eastern practices, mutualism, mimicry, evolution, and adaptation. The final result that showcased this research was a large collage of art and research. We had full creative freedom to create anything we wanted to best represent our work. Along with the collage, we created a website and blog that truly showcased our detailed research with immersive graphics. This project was so different from anything we have ever been assigned to do and we learned to feel comfortable in the uncomfortable.
